Licensing and Attribution

    • Open Data Commons Licenses: Options like ODC-By, ODC-ODbL, etc., provide additional licensing choices tailored for open data.
  2. Provide Licensing Information:

    • Include a link to the full license text if possible.
  3. Attribution Guidelines:

    • Specify how users should attribute the dataset when they use it.
    • Provide a preferred citation format, including the title, creator’s name, publication date, and a link to the dataset.
  4. Review and Confirm:

    • Ensure all licensing information is accurate and prominently displayed.
    • Confirm that users have clear guidelines on how to attribute the dataset correctly.
